Tim Starkey recently successfully prosecuted a multi handed fraud trial in which the first defendant was accused of illegally transferring sums of money from his employer’s accounts to his co-accused. Despite the first defendant being represented by a top QC he secured convictions in relation to both fraud and money laundering allegations.
Paul Edwards secures an acquittal and hung jury for defendant charged with ABH and being in charge of a dog which caused injury while dangerously out of control on a public place.
The defendant stated that he was acting in self defence throughout the incident as the alleged victim was being aggressive and violent to his (victim’s girlfriend). In relation to the dog the defendant states he was never in control of the dog as it run out from his family home and this incident occurred outside his home address.
After trial the defendant was acquitted of the ABH and the jury could not reach a verdict in regards to the dog.
