Energy Law

The nucleus of Great James Street Chambers is highly skilled specialist lawyers in International Cross Border Litigation, Extradition, Immigration, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, Mutual Legal Assistance, Money Laundering and Bribery offences and Commercial Law.

Chambers have successfully developed relationships in Africa to the extent that to date we have business facilities in Lagos, Nigeria with our expansion into Douala, Cameroon due for completion in the near future. Great James Street UK were among the first chambers to recognise and encourage the very real emerging markets in Africa. Within recent history chambers have relished the opportunity to develop our legal interests further into the areas of Energy, Oil and Gas, Oil spillages and the Mining sector.

The extent of chambers dedication to international projects with a focus on Africa is such that we are proud to acknowledge the achievements of our litigators who regularly appear in Nigerian and Cameroonian law courts, with an emphasis on all legal aspects of the Power industry.

Chambers provided a delegation of lawyers lead by Alun Jones QC in support of the Cameroon Investment Forum event, Bonanjo, Douala that took place in November 2015.
