Regulatory – Chambers is developing experience in regulatory law concerning, in particular, fitness to practise/competence and conduct cases regarding healthcare professionals before the Nursing and Midwifery Council and other professional bodies.

Mediation – Chambers provides mediation services for a wide range of disputes.

Mediation is a process whereby parties are given the opportunity to come to an agreement with the help of a trained mediator who is there, not to judge or advise but to provide a neutral balanced opportunity for the parties to reach a mutually satisfactory resolution.

There is no limit to the kind of matter which can be made subject to mediation. Disputes about commercial contracts, personal injury claims, education proceedings, neighborhood disputes  and many other areas of law all lend themselves to mediation. Moreover, mediation is cheap compared to litigation. Most mediations can be conducted within a working day. If an agreement is reached, that is the end of the matter: no appeals, no further proceedings. The disputants are free to carry on with their lives.
