Henry is a dual-qualified Barrister, who was called to the English Bar at the Inner Temple and the Nigerian Bar.
Henry’s passion for completeness and perfection makes him a consummate professional. He has been engaged in many domestic and international legal transactions. He has represented the Nigerian Government as external counsel in several matters. His commitment to exceeding clients’ expectations, and the assurance of success in any transaction with which he is identified, places him above the ordinary lawyer.
He has extensive legal experience in corporate and commercial law ranging from liquidation, debt recovery, Mergers and acquisitions, commercial arbitration, contract review and negotiation, telecommunications.
He was appointed by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) as an Asset management Partner (AMP) for the recovery of non-performing loans in Nigeria where he successfully traced and recovered huge toxic debts from high profile corporate and individual debtors for the corporation. He has also initiated several debt recovery suits on behalf of the corporation and also defended the corporation on several occasions. He also on occasion acts for the  National Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) to recover bad debts for failed banks in the country.

Henry Michael-Ihunde is also a registered tax practitioner. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He has rendered tax advisory services to a number of Domestic and International Corporate bodies ranging from tax compliance to tax litigation.
He was part of a consortium of Lawyers that worked in the liquidation of Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) PLC and also provided Legal Advisory Services for the winding up proceedings. He also participated in the unbundling of the then National Carrier (Nigeria Airways) and was actively involved in its winding up.
Henry was engaged by the National Electricity Liability Management Company (NELMCO) to protect its interest from a forfeiture of its lease over its property in London. He has also acted as external legal Counsel to several non-profit organisations. He was recently appointed as external legal adviser by Maryland Global Initiative Corporation (MGIC) a non-profit affiliate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore USA for the review, amendment and drafting of several agreements and service contracts for the conduct of the Nigeria AIDS Indicator and Impact Survey (NAIIS), 2018.

He is an astute negotiator and has been consulted severally to act as a transaction adviser on various acquisitions . He recently advised on the sale of an oil servicing company with several contracts with Chevron and Mobil to NALCO USA. It was a complex negotiation and sale which was only recently concluded after 3 years .

He has served as a member of the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) of the Nigerian Bar Association . He regularly delivers papers on various aspects of commercial law  to the Nigerian Institute of advanced Legal Studies . He maintain a cross border International legal practice that cuts across various international jurisdictions.
