Kevin Metzger, led by Dapinder Singh KC, instructed by Atta Rehman of Harris Solicitors, successfully secured acquittals on charges of murder and manslaughter following a nine-week trial at Bradford Crown Court.
After careful consideration of the evidence, the jury returned unanimous not guilty verdicts on both counts of murder and manslaughter. The defendant was convicted on one count of Violent Disorder and is due to be sentenced next week.
This outcome reflects the strength of the defence case advanced throughout the proceedings, as well as the dedication and hard work of counsel and the wider legal team in what was a lengthy and complex trial.
