Lucy Curran

Lucy began her pupillage at Great James Street Chambers in October 2025. Her ambition is to build a practice that focuses on crime, extradition and regulatory work.

Prior to commencing pupillage, Lucy volunteered for three years with the Refugee Law Initiative. She worked closely with clients and solicitors to prepare fresh claims for asylum seekers who had exhausted their appeals. Lucy worked with the Director of the Initiative to draft submissions on the Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill 2025. She was recognized for her dedication and commitment with an award at the Refugee Law Initiative Summer Event.

Lucy gained experience in regulatory law working with MERCK. She was responsible for summarising complex pharmaceutical law reforms and patent law.

Lucy was a Senior Editor at the Birkbeck Law Review during her undergraduate studies. She worked with an international author and co-editor for the Borders, Boundaries and the Law Edition.

While completing her BVS course Lucy represented Gray’s Inn at the Manfred Lachs Moot in Vienna. Lucy passed the Bar with a Distinction from The City Law School having been awarded a part payment scholarship.
