This data has been collected based on total payments receipted from 1st January 2024 to 31st December 2024.

Data is provided for our main three practice areas as the sample data for other practices areas is too small to process.

Headline Gender Pay Gap Metrics

  • Mean Gender Pay Gap (Average Earnings): 13.56% in favour of women (women earn more on average than men)
  • Median Gender Pay Gap: Gap: 1.56% in favour of women

Observations

  • Female barristers at GJS out-earn male barristers on average, driven by high-performing individuals.
  • However, there are fewer women overall (9 vs. 26), meaning the distribution may not be representative.
  • The median earnings also favour female barristers slightly, indicating this isn’t skewed solely by top outliers.
