Great James Street Chambers is delighted to announce that Lucy Chapman has been promoted to the General Medical Council’s Full Panel of Counsel with immediate effect.
The appointment recognises Lucy’s growing expertise in professional discipline and regulatory law and follows her work on the GMC’s Development Panel.
Counsel instructed by the GMC undertake complex and often sensitive regulatory proceedings, including presenting fitness to practise cases before Medical Practitioners Tribunals, dealing with interim order proceedings and advising on evidential, procedural and regulatory issues.
Lucy’s promotion to the Full Panel reflects her standards of excellence, her experience and skillset in this specialist area and enables her to undertake a broader range of GMC instructions.
