Stefan Bisson, instructed by Waterfords Solicitors, secured an acquittal in a case involving a multi-handed affray and offences relating to assaults on emergency workers.
It was the first trial to be held in the newly converted Wood Green Crown Court, sitting Willesden Magistrates’ Court. The matter related to a violent disorder involving 178 police officers. The full facts were accepted and the issue came down to whether or not Stefan’s client was acting in defence of another, or out of necessity, when he kicked one police officer in the head and put another in a head lock.
The jury returned Not Guilty verdicts.
