We would like to thank the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) for inviting the Great James Street Chambers’ regulatory team to attend and contribute to their internal training session today.
Four of our barristers, Lucy Chapman, Vishal Misra, Antony Bartholomeusz and Dan Santos-Costa, delivered a seminar covering the following topics:
– The implications of ‘rejected defences’ following Sawati v GMC [2022] EWHC (Admin)
– The relationship between honesty and integrity following Beckwith v SRA [2020] EWHC 3231 (Admin)
– What constitutes sexual motivation
– A general case law update regarding regulatory appeals
Our team are always open to working with regulatory organisations in delivering in house training. This can be in person or online and can be tailored to meet the needs of your team. The feedback we receive is, that these presentations are helpful in understanding and elaborating on recent changes in law and assists by having barristers, who are experienced in presenting in regulatory hearings, available to answer questions and offer guidance for case preparation.
