Ania Grudzinska, instructed by Aneta Maziarz-Bousse, made a successful bail application before the High Court this morning in an extradition case concerning 38 offences of fraud. The Applicant is said to have been a leader of a criminal organisation involved in planned hacking scams. The total loss to the complainants of the hacking scams is just under £500,000. In the event that extradition is ordered, the maximum sentence for the offences is 15 years’ imprisonment.
Upon arrest, the Applicant was found in possession of a large quantity of cash and had lied to the police about his identity. Nonetheless, after a lengthy bail application, Ania persuaded the Judge to grant conditional bail.
