Amanda Jones, instructed by Kenny Singh Bhogal of Bhogal Partners, has initiated Judicial Review proceedings relating to the Homes for Ukraine visa scheme in a class action against the Home Office.

The applicants for visas all had the required sponsors and all made their applications before 1st April 2022. The applications remained outstanding and, in some cases, one family member’s visa had been granted, but another had not. The applicants and sponsors had been unable to get any proper response when chasing the Home Office.

In all these cases so far, a pre-action protocol for Judicial Review has resulted in the visas being granted. However, nearly a thousand applications remain outstanding from March.

Amanda and Kenny are now working with multiple charities to progress this action and encourage any potential applicants to contact the legal team on 020 8572 9867 or by email at info@bhogalpartners.co.uk

The issue was covered in Sky News over the weekend and Amanda was interviewed by the Financial Times about the delays. Today, the story has hit the front page of the Guardian.
