14 Eritrean nationals were found in a refrigeration unit of the lorry that our client was driving. The police stopped the lorry and our client and his colleague were arrested. The defendants were transporting frozen goods to the UK and had no knowledge of the individuals who entered their lorry during their long rest period when they were asleep.
Following detailed analysis of the prosecution expert evidence in this case, together with the presentation of evidence in support of our case, the prosecution discontinued this allegation. Our client was released from custody and able to return to his family after a traumatic couple of months.
