Ania Grudzinska, instructed by MARK SATCHELL at Satchel Moran Solicitors, has secured a suspended sentence for her client at Liverpool Crown Court where she appeared via Skype due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Ania represented her client who was accused of the theft of a large number of tyres from a tyre production factory where he was employed and, at which he held a position of responsibility and trust. In total, the company sustained losses of up to almost £500,000 which resulted in the closure of part of the company. The theft took place over a period of months and involved significant planning by an organised group. Whilst our client pleaded guilty to this offence, Ania ensured that she drafted a basis of plea which reflected his limited involvement in the theft. To the disbelief of the Judge, the basis of plea was accepted by the prosecution. Ania’s client was sentenced on that basis which enabled his sentence to be suspended.
