Clarissa Rodio, instructed by Anna Matelska of AM International Solicitors, successfully argued for permission to appeal an extradition order to Poland before Mr Justice Murray on two grounds, namely section 12A of the Extradition Act 2003 and Article 8 ECHR.

The case involves two arrest warrants raising a range of legal and factual issues. In securing permission, Clarissa relied heavily on the reasoning in Litwinczuk v The Circuit Court in Szczecin, Poland [2019] EWHC 2745, Piotr Marchewka v Regional Court, Szczecin (Poland) [2016] EWHC 998 (Admin), and Deaconescu v Romania [2023] EWHC 870, each of which shares key features with the present case and proved central to the arguments advanced.
