Harry Piercy, instructed by Paytons Solicitors, secures an acquittal for his client charged with common assault and criminal damage at St Albans Magistrates Court.
Harry’s client was an 18-year-old man of good character. The prosecution alleged that after a dispute in a shop, Harry’s client had assaulted the shop owner and smashed the front window of the shop. Harry’s client denied this completely and maintained that the allegations were entirely false.
After Harry’s careful cross-examination of the prosecution witnesses, and detailed closing submissions, the magistrates returned not guilty verdicts on both counts. His client was acquitted and retained their good character.
