Kevin Metzger, instructed by Mr Salhan of Salhans Solicitors, secured a sentence of 28 months’ imprisonment for his client on two counts of burglary of cannabis farms.
Kevin had secured acquittals for his client on two counts of conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary at the Wolverhampton Crown Court. Having deliberated for 2 days, the jury returned not guilty verdicts, following a trial of nearly seven weeks. The prosecution case was that the defendants had conspired to burgle two cannabis farms and intended to use the tools used to enter the premises as weapons of offence, should the need arise. Two men lost their lives as a result of the actions of the proprietors of the second ‘farm’.
