On 11 March 2025, the High Court granted permission to appeal an order for extradition in the case of DP v Czech Republic (AC-2024-LON-002673).
Muin successfully argued for permission to appeal an order for extradition, following a renewal hearing. The appeal will proceed on one ground, namely the correct application of the “best interests of the child” test under Article 8, which requires that a child’s best interest is treated as a “primary consideration”. The substantive appeal will now proceed before the High Court in due course.
Muin was instructed by James Chaplin and Tania Dobre of Hollingsworth Edwards Solicitors.
