Nasreen Shah, instructed by Lewis Nedas Law, secured a unanimous acquittal for her client, after a six-day, two-defendant trial at Wood Green Crown Court.
Her client stood charged, alongside another, on an indictment containing a count of attempted robbery and a count of possession of a knife. Nasreen’s client was charged with the substantive count. Nasreen mounted an effective cut-throat defence, highlighting the consistency in her client’s account over the past two years. Moreover, during the trial, the defence highlighted substantial police investigatory and disclosure failures, impacting upon both defendants cases.
The jury acquitted within 3 hours of deliberating.
