Raj Joshi, instructed by Michael Situ of Lincoln Solicitors, secured the acquittal of his 47-year-old client on an allegation of neglect by a care worker.
The single mother of four children had been accused of neglecting her 91-year-old patient. The care worker, who had no previous convictions, retained her good character after a 7-day trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court where Raj showed that his client had done all that she could, despite having little or no support from others.
Raj challenged the police investigation, the agency which employed his client and the system. He fought to bring in the excellent references provided for the care worker which led the jury to find his client not guilty.
