Rushnay Sikander, instructed by Graham & Co Solicitors, secured an acquittal for her client charged with theft, taking part within a joint enterprise. Rushnay successfully argued that her client was under duress and highlighted that the Crown had not disproved the defence.
Rushnay’s client was particularly vulnerable and suffered from bi-polar disorder. Despite this, Rushnay took her client through their evidence carefully, exercising discretion at every stage.
