Vishal Misra, instructed by Hodge Jones & Allen Solicitors, secured the acquittal of his client after a 4-day trial at Woolwich Crown Court.
The Defendant was charged with stalking, assault and breach of a restraining order (x3). The Defendant was a very vulnerable person who required an intermediary throughout the trial. Vishal successfully cross-examined the 2 prosecution witnesses and did not require the Defendant to give evidence. After only an hour of deliberation, the jury returned verdicts of Not Guilty on all 5 counts.
Following the verdict, the client, who had been in custody for 4-months, was released.
