Zakir Hussain, instructed by Samuel Ross Solicitors, was successful in a human rights appeal for a Algerian client under the 10-year parent route.
The client had multiple adjournments leading up to the index appeal and the leave to remain application under the 10-year parent route was submitted on 24 July 2013 – 7 years ago. Zakir submitted a detailed skeleton argument and persuaded the immigration Judge that there was genuine and subsisting parental relationship between the child and client and that the contact was ongoing. Zakir successfully argued that the client’s removal from the UK will breach section 117B (6) and Article 8 ECHR.
