The client was a Pakistani national and had been in the UK for nearly 20 years with no documentation. He suffered from a number of mental health difficulties and was unable to return to his country due to lack of support and a fear of torture.
Shoba successfully argued that, by returning the client to his country, this would cause him intense suffering and therefore he would face significant obstacles on his return.
