Instructed by Andy Tieu of Reiss Edwards Solicitors, Chengetai Mupara was successful in a human rights appeal by a Nigerian national. The Home Office refused his application after accusing the client of fraud by using a proxy test taker to obtain a TOEIC English language test. Chengetai submitted that the Home Office’s evidence was tenuous to a point of non-existence. The Judge ruled that the Home Office’s evidence in support of the allegation of fraud was “troubling”.
