Harry Piercy, instructed by Shahid Khan of Advice Wise Solicitors, secured an acquittal for his client charged with having a bladed article in a public place following a 4-day trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

Harry’s client was a man of good character. He was alleged to have brought a knife with him to a confrontation with the complainant. The incident was caught on CCTV and there was no dispute that the client had a knife with him during the incident. The defence case was that the client never intended any confrontation to take place, and that he had the knife with him for work purposes. The trial involved detailed analysis of the CCTV footage and extensive cross-examination of the complainant.

The jury unanimously acquitted Harry’s client, accepting his defence that he had the knife on him for work purposes.
