Kate Riekstina, instructed by Cotisens Solicitors, secured Not Guilty verdicts for her client charged with ABH, following a 6 day trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
The defendant was accused of assaulting a woman following a ‘road rage’ incident, whereby the defendant and his children were pedestrians and the complainant a driver of a vehicle. The complainant had collided with the defendant, hitting him with the bonnet of her vehicle. An argument ensued but the defendant denied the assault. The case involved vigorous cross examination of the complainant and criticisms of the police investigation into the matter.
The jury returned with Not Guilty verdicts.
