Nasreen Shah, instructed by LMJ Solicitors, successfully secured a verdict of not guilty for her client charged with having a bladed article in a public place, namely his car outside an estate, following a trial at the Royal Courts of Justice.

It was the defence case that the client used the multitool, which included a knife, for work. Nasreen established the client’s background and that various items in the client’s car were relevant to the proposition that the tool was used for work. In addition, the client provided a full comment interview.

The jury deliberated for less than 10 minutes and returned a verdict of not guilty.
