Kevin Metzger, instructed by Mohammed Naser of M&N Solicitors, successfully negotiated with the prosecution on pleas for his client at Winchester Crown Court.
The prosecution accepted pleas to possession of firearms and ammunition and agreed not to proceed with a trial on conspiracy to supply, sell or transfer firearms and ammunition. The defendant, subject of a police operation, was stopped by armed officers from the Avon and Somerset Constabulary in July 2021. A Colt revolver containing two rounds in its six chamber cylinder was found under the passenger footwell of his car.
The case has been sent back to Bristol for sentence in due course.
